Pacific Seeds is developing a major involvement in the wheat seed business Australia wide with the intention to bring to the market a range of varieties encompassing all the major quality types and adapted to all the major growing areas.  Particular emphasis is being placed APH; AH; APW; ASW; ASWN; durum and feed.

Pacific Seeds entry into the wheat seed business began in 2005 with the licensing of their initial range EGA Gregory, EGA Wylie and EGA Wentworth.  Since then, Pacific Seeds has licensed a number of other varieties to fill different quality classifications and geographic areas.

Pacific Seeds licenses from a number of sources and recently acquired a share of wheat breeding company LongReach Plant Breeders from which it has licensed varieties such as Crusader and Dakota.

Pacific Seeds network of regional-based associates are responsible for producing, processing, distributing and selling Pacific Seeds' wheat planting seed. The network of Pacific Seeds' associates will ensure that quality seed is available to retailers and growers in a timely, convenient and economical manner. The Pacific Seeds' wheat varieties are protected by Plant Breeders Rights (PBR) and End Point Royalty (EPR) is payable on all relevant grain production. The terms and conditions associated with the purchase of Pacific Seeds' wheat varieties are set out in the Variety Licence and Royalty Agreement.
