Toowoomba Centenary support

02 September 2004: The Centenary of Toowoomba Committee has received a giant boost with the signing of its first major sponsor. Pacific Seeds will sponsor the Toowoomba Tomorrow Dinner at the Empire Theatre in October in an agreement worth $10,000. The dinner is one of the many centenary celebrations planned for October.

Pacific Seeds not only supplies high quality seed technology solutions to domestic growers but also exports seeds to various parts of the world and has been established in Toowoomba for almost 45 years.

Managing Director Chris Bazley said the company relished the opportunity to be involved in the city’s 100th birthday celebrations. “Pacific Seeds is keen to expand on its current involvement in the local and regional community and the Centenary of Toowoomba provides an ideal opportunity to do so.

“While the centenary's 'Toowoomba Tomorrow' dinner is a high profile corporate style event, our company continues its support for smaller community events with a variety of sponsorships and schemes.

"I trust our sponsorship of the dinner will be the springboard for other local businesses to put their support behind the centenary celebration," he said.
