Bush Spirit of Christmas remembered at Pacific Seeds

Pacific Seeds staff ended the year by spreading a healthy dose of Christmas cheer to rural families at their recent end of year staff luncheon.
Every year Pacific Seeds coordinates a program of distributing gift vouchers to needy rural families through a local charity.
Pacific Seeds has been organising the program for five years, with the 2007 beneficiary being Lifeline Darling Downs.
Lifeline Darling Downs’ Derek Tuffield was in attendance at the Pacific Seeds Christmas luncheon on December 21 to receive a donation of $1300 and to share with staff the valuable work that the charity does to assist rural families.
The gift vouchers were made possible by donations from major Pacific Seeds suppliers Bayer and Syngenta.
Coordinator Debbie Nawrotzky said the gift voucher program gave Pacific Seeds the opportunity to give something back to the rural community that had supported them all year.
“Toowoomba really is a big country town and the money that comes in from the surrounding rural communities determines the success of the town and businesses such as ours.”
“This is our way of sending out something good to the community that supports us,” Ms Nawrotzky said.
